NABARD General Manager Dr B B Sahoo welcomed all the participants of FPO and Off Farm Producer Organisation (OFPO) members to the Taranga Mela and said that such events serve as showcases of agriculture innovations, technologies and best practices to enhance productivity and sustainability in farming. He highlighted that the purpose of the FPO Mela with the motto of ‘Celebrating Collectivisation’ is to demonstrate the product of FPOs.
The chief guest Anu Garg expressed the objective of Mela is to provide a platform for farmers to directly connect buyers and consumers, access markets more effectively and negotiate better price for their producer while providing consumers with quality products. She advised the FPOs to focus on the branding and packaging of the products along with the quality aspect as per the customer requirement”.
DC Anu Garg, NABARD GM BB Sahoo, , SFAC Director Natabar Pal, NABARD GM S R Panda and DGM Kamalakanta Pattnaik visited each stall and interacted farmers and artisans about their product and their marketing.
